Nacho Libre (2006)
|
This film has the Jared Hess silliness that was present in Napolean Dynamite all over it. At times it sacrifices itself to just being too silly and suffers but most of the time this is an enjoyable comedy poking light fun at professional wrestling. Nacho is a monk at an orphanage who dreams of being a wrestler, he gets his chance and uses the winning to buy things for the orphans. Jack Black is very funny as usual in his leading role, the rest of the cast fails to shine but plays a good supporting role. I'm not really sure what else there is to say about this film except that I think it can be enjoyed by pretty much everyone, the violence is comedic and there are few places where the film fails to be funny.
