Hitman (2007)
|
I had some relative hopes for this film but unfortunately they were shot out of the water rather quickly after the film started. This film essentially is just a cheap bourne knock off. For people who want more of Jason Bourne this isn't the film for you and are best off keeping their fingers crossed for another Matt Damon led film.
The basic premise of Hitman see's Agent 49 being told to assassinate the Russian President a mission which he believes he has carried out only to find the president giving a speech later the same day. He is then hunted by Interpol, the KGB and other assassins to silence him and get him behind bars. The films problem is that the relationships don't work, you don't care about any of the characters and the plot is rather full of holes. The dialogue is iffy at best and no-one really has a backstory. The reason this film doesn't socre a lot lower is down to some relatively well choreographed set pieces but generally this film is poor and no more needs to be said. Buy it if you are stupid!
